Course Overview

Recognizing the rich and intricate tapestry of Indian Classical Music, our Indian Classical Intermediate (Module 2) course is thoughtfully designed with focused, well-structured modules. Each session takes learners deeper into the world of Raagas—guiding them to understand, explore, and perfect their nuances. The course strikes a balance between depth and accessibility, making the learning experience both engaging and deeply enriching.

Pre-Requisite

  • A foundational understanding of Swar, Taal, and Thaat is essential for entry into our Intermediate Course.
  • If you've completed the introductory course from any other teaching institute, our expert teachers will evaluate your fundamental understanding before admitting you to the Intermediate Course via our Intro Session.

Outcome

  • After completing our Intermediate Course Module 2 of total 30 sessions, our students can perform the 5 Raagas they've learned with utmost confidence.

Sessions choice - To start you may choose between 6 sessions or 30 sessions. 

What is covered in 6 sessions

  • Session 1 - 6 comprises of learning theory behind the Raag Kafi, Basic structure and Chalan of the Raag, Bandish (Chhota Khayal) and basic Aalaap and Taan.

What is covered in 30 sessions

  • Session - 1-6 
    Theory & vocal practice behind the Raag Kafi, Basic structure and Chalan of the Raag, Bandish (Chhota Khayal) and basic Aalaap and Taan.
  • Session - 7-12
    Theory & vocal practice behind the Raag Bhimpalasi, Basic structure and Chalan of the Raag, Bandish (Chhota Khayal) and basic Aalaap and Taan.
  • Session - 13-18
    Theory & vocal practice behind the Raag Bageshree, Basic structure and Chalan of the Raag, Bandish (Chhota Khayal) and basic Aalaap and Taan.
  • Session - 19-24
    Theory & vocal practice behind the Raag Alhaiya Bilawal, Basic structure and Chalan of the Raag, Bandish (Chhota Khayal) and basic Aalaap and Taan.
  • Session - 25-30
    Theory & vocal practice behind the Raag Bhairav, Basic  structure and Chalan of the Raag, Bandish (Chhota Khayal) and basic Aalaap and Taan.

Please note - Students will be able to advance to next level only after completing all the 30 sessions of this module.
